An extractor operator needs to monitor foam as well as recovered liquid. This article covers one specific product, U3DP Clean PG defoamer, for a Purezza working setup. It is not a universal dosing rule for all chemicals and does not replace the machine instructions.
What a defoamer does
Its purpose is foam suppression, not fabric cleaning. The PG description specifically identifies the risk of foam entering an extractor's vacuum motor. Treat the product as part of process control, not as permission to continue through any malfunction.
A defoamer is not a pre-spray, spot remover or odour neutralizer. Each product has a separate purpose and application method. Adding a defoamer does not establish that the chosen detergent is suitable for a material.
Applying PG according to U3DP Clean
The published PG method is to dilute it 1:3 with distilled water, put the solution in a 50 ml spray bottle and spray a few times directly into the vacuum hose before work or when foam appears. Follow the current label on the actual bottle. If the label and website differ, ask the manufacturer to clarify.
Do not turn 'a few sprays' into an invented millilitre-per-litre dosing rate. The product card does not specify one. The spray-bottle capacity also does not mean its entire contents should be applied at once.

Why instructions differ between products
Another product may specify a different location. For example, Kärcher RM 761 is described for the waste-water tank or a separate defoamer tank. This illustrates differing instructions; it is not a recommendation to replace PG with it or mix the two.
Decide where to apply a defoamer from the particular product and equipment instructions. Do not add PG to the clean-water tank merely because a different method appeared in a video. Do not mix formulations without manufacturer approval.
Checks if foam returns
Suggested working checklist: record the products and dilutions; check that the chemistry permits extraction cleaning; confirm the prescribed application method; check the tank according to Purezza instructions. If the cause remains unclear, provide that information to the manufacturer rather than repeatedly increasing the amount.
Stop the machine if liquid is expelled, noise becomes abnormal, an overheating smell appears or another abnormal condition occurs. Do not treat an unknown fault with defoamer. Inspect and service only with power disconnected, following machine instructions and service advice.
Preparing for mobile work in Moscow and the Moscow Region
For a Purezza kit, prepare a labelled container, PG instructions and a record of cleaning chemicals. A reproducible method is more useful on jobs in Moscow, the Moscow Region and elsewhere in Russia than a promise that foam will never return. Do not claim a bottle lasts for a certain number of jobs without measurements.
